WBB's Ashley Davis Named Associate Head Coach

DENTON, Texas - Women's basketball head coach Mike Petersen announced the promotion of assistant coach Ashley Davis to the new role of associate head coach.

The promotion comes after a successful first year as the recruiting coordinator for the Mean Green.

"Ashley has done an outstanding job and has a huge future in coaching," Petersen said. "Her new position reflects her work to this point as well as her role moving forward."

Davis completed her first season with North Texas that saw the Mean Green win 10 conference games for the first time since 2001. NT also set a school record in 3-pointers made in Coach Davis' first year with 168.
