NT Volleyball Drops Opener to LMU in Three

LOS ANGELES- In its opening match of the season, the Mean Green volleyball team was unable to stop the Loyola Marymount attack and fell to the Lions 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-21).
North Texas hadn't lost a season opener since 2009, a five-setter to UTSA.
With 11 kills, sophomore Carnae Dillard led the Mean Green offensively while senior Courtney Windham had five total blocks. In her first match with North Texas, highly-touted freshman setter Amy Henard totaled 24 assists.
North Texas continues play in the LMU-hosted tournament at 12 p.m. CST, Saturday, against 12th-ranked UCLA.
