Volleyball Releases 2014 Schedule, Will Host Missouri, TCU

DENTON, Texas - Mean Green volleyball released its fall schedule for the 2014 campaign, a slate that features a pair of home tournaments and a trip to Lawrence, KS, for a tournament featuring the Big 12's Jayhawks and the SEC's Arkansas Razorbacks.
"I am excited about our 2014 schedule," head coach Andrew Palileo said. "The preseason schedule allows us to gradually measure ourselves against some great teams. We will have a young but talented team so building a schedule that allows for the learning process will help prepare us for the conference season."
North Texas will host Missouri in its first home tournament of the season, the North Texas Invitational, on Aug. 30, and will also host TCU on Nov. 9.
Entering its second season in Conference USA, the Mean Green will face several familiar foes including old Sun Belt rival Western Kentucky, which will make the familiar leap to C-USA for the 2014 season.
The year begins with a home match against Northwestern State on Aug. 29, while C-USA play kicks off at UTEP on Sept. 26.
