DENTON - Apogee Stadium was host to a special guest Thursday afternoon - the American Football Coaches Association's National Championship Trophy.

The iconic Waterford crystal football, also known as the Coaches' Trophy, is awarded to the FBS national champion each season. The trophy was on the field at Apogee Thursday for a photo shoot, to be used in advertising and promotional material for the trophy's sponsor, Amway.
