Durie Posts Career Low Round In Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. - It was another career-low round for the North Texas women's golf team, this time it was Maraea Durie's turn as she shot a 4-under par 68 in the second-round of the MountainView Collegiate. Durie's round go off to a blistering start as she played the front nine at 5-under par, even getting the round to 6-under par before ending at 4-under.
The 68 by Durie is the lowest round by a North Texas golfer since 2011 and comes on the heels of Eji Kwon firing a 69 just four days earlier.
She is three strokes off the lead in eighth place heading into the final round as she is at 4-under par for the tournament after two rounds.
The rest of the Mean Green didn't fare as well as Durie as NT as a team is in 18th place after two rounds. Eji Kwon is tied for 68th place after a score of 152 while Abbi Shaddix is one stroke behind in a tie for 76th place. Laura DeLeonardis shot a 165 and Devin Edwards a 166 on the day.
FIU holds the overall team lead by one shot after two-rounds of play.
