Along with the rest of UNT, the Mean Green celebrated University Day this past Friday on the Library Mall.

North Texas head football coach Dan McCarney spoke to the crowd, and members of the team mingled with the rest of the student body.

The first University Day was held on May 10, 1961, when North Texas State College became North Texas State University. UNT celebrates its university status every year with free food, music, and activities.
