Mean Green QB Competition Heats Up This Spring

North Texas knew replacing Derek Thompson heading into the 2014 season would be difficult, but perhaps not this difficult. The one position that NT had the most fluctuation at last season was the quarterback position, starting three different players during the season.
This spring offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Mike Canales has taken to improving all of his QB's, which at the moment include nine different individuals. Despite the glut of players in one position, Canales is using the spring to create more competition and continue to improve each quarterback he has.
