VIDEO: North Texas Football Battles Robson Ranch In Softball

DENTON - Members of the North Texas football team made some great memories on Saturday, May 7, at Robson Ranch - and won over some new fans in the process.
The nearby retirement community hosted the Mean Green football team for the second time in a friendly softball game against the Robson Ranch All-Stars. The day began with a two plane fly-over, ceremonial first pitches from members of the military and MLB-like player introductions.
While the final score wasn't the focal point when compared to the goodwill that was being fostered, North Texas used back-to-back home runs from Alabama transfer quarterback Alec Morris and Muenster product Andy Flusche to break open a tight game and take a 19-12 win.
A capacity crowd packed the Robson Ranch Field of Dreams and stuck around afterwards to meet the players and learn more about season tickets and Mean Green Club memberships.
