In just the second game under first-year coach Jalie Mitchell, North Texas scored one of the biggest wins in program history and its first over a ranked opponent.

Terra Ellison, Acheil Tac, Teadra Jones scored in double figures, and Kelsey Criner scored the final four points of the game to break a 57-57 tie and lift the Mean Green past No. 17 Oklahoma, 61-57, in Norman.

North Texas never trailed to the Sooners, despite three players fouling out. The Mean Green defense held OU to 30.8 percent shooting and to just 20 percent from the three-point line.
