Chamberlain Named HERO Of The Week

BELLEVUE, Wash. - Senior middle blocker Amanda Chamberlain was named the Division I HERO of the Week by HERO Sports on Friday. She received 48.5% of the online vote, edging out Belmont's Arianna Person (44.9%).
Chamberlain posted a team-high 19 kills to lead North Texas to a four-set victory over UTEP last Friday, extending the team's win streak to six matches. She committed just four errors on 28 attempts for a team-best .536 attack percentage. Chamberlain also recorded a trio of digs and block assists.
The recognition marks Chamberlain's second honor this week after being named the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. Chamberlain and the Mean Green are back in action this Sunday with a road match against Charlotte.
