IRVING - Redshirt freshman linebacker Joe Ozougwu was named to Conference USA's All-Freshman team, the league announced Tuesday.

Ozougwu has provided solid depth at North Texas' jack linebacker position. He has started twice and appeared in 10 games, posting 18 tackles (nine solo), five of which are for loss, with two sacks and a pair of quarterback hurries. The two sacks tie for the third-most on the team.
