Torrey Named C-USA Offensive POTW

North Texas is idle this week and return to action when they travel to Norfolk, Virginia, to take on Old Dominion on Saturday, November 10.
This marks the third time a Mean Green player has been named offensive player of the week, following Mason Fine's honors in both Week 1 and Week 3. Nate Brooks and Keegan Brewer also have won player of the week, for defense and special teams, respectively, both in Week 3.
Torrey (Gautier, Mississippi) helped lead the Mean Green to a win over C-USA West foe Rice, 41-17, Saturday to give North Texas its first 7-2 start to a season since 1978. Torrey had four total touchdowns on the day and carried 15 times for a career best 130 yards and three scores, equaling a career high, in the win. Torrey has a team-high 10 rushing touchdowns on the season (12 total), and scored three times Saturday in the final 9:27 to lift the Mean Green over Rice for the third time in as many seasons. Torrey carried three times for 72 yards on a key 85-yard scoring drive in the second quarter, including his longest run of the season, 44 yards, as well as an 11-yard touchdown scamper.
