DENTON – Wednesday marks the beginning of the early signing period, and the Mean Green are anticipating one of their best-rated classes in the last two decades.
MeanGreenSports.com will be the home of Signing Day Central, which will be updated in real time with all of the early signees in head coach Seth Littrell's 2019 recruiting class.
North Texas enters the signing period following back-to-back nine win seasons and fresh off its third consecutive bowl appearance.
The Mean Green will look to utilize their depth from previous classes and key components of the 2019 class to contribute next fall, especially on the defensive side of the ball. UNT graduates six of its 11 starters from its defense – both corners, two linebackers and a pair of defensive linemen.
Several highly-regarded prospects will be vying to fill the roles vacated by the outgoing seniors, and more than half of the anticipated signees in this class are defensive players.
North Texas is expected to return nine of its 11 offensive starters after another record-breaking year on that side of the ball.
In addition to Signing Day Central, follow along with @SethLittrell and @MeanGreenFB on Twitter throughout Wednesday morning for highlights and signing announcements.
A press conference with Littrell is scheduled for noon CT.
