HONOLULU, Hawaii - North Texas center Sosaia Mose was selected to the 2018 watch list for the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award, the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame announced Thursday.
Â
Mose, an all-conference honorable mention selection in 2017, appeared in 13 games last season for North Texas, starting 11. The Tyler Junior College product stabilized the center position for the Mean Green and helped pave the way for a rushing attack that rolled up 2,280 yards and scored 28 touchdowns. Mose helped lead an offensive line unit that improved upon its 2016 performance and helped the offense post record numbers in scoring, first downs, passing yardage and passing touchdowns.
Â
The award is presented annually to the most outstanding Polynesian college football player that epitomizes great ability and integrity. The Watch List is composed of 50 players from 34 different FBS schools.
 Â
The winner of the 2018 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award will be announced on December 14, 2018. Five finalists will be unveiled on December 5. The presentation of the award will be held during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week Celebration Dinner (Sheraton Waikiki) and they will also be recognized at halftime of the Polynesian Bowl at Aloha Stadium.
Â
