IRVING – Anisha George of North Texas has been voted the Conference USA Women's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the league office Monday.

Her game-high nine rebounds along with 12 points at LA Tech Jan. 3 led UNT to their first win in Ruston, while her career and game-high 25 points and eight rebounds at Southern Miss Jan. 5 also handed the Mean Green their first win in Hattiesburg. George went 17-of-23 from the field in the victories for an astounding field goal percentage of 73.9-percent.
Defensively, the junior post was extremely effective, especially against the Lady Eagles. George held the opposing post players to a collective 11 points, including zero from their second-leading scorer, while committing zero fouls in the contest.
