Skopal Wins Third Setter Of The Week Award

DALLAS – North Texas setter Kaliegh Skopal was named the Conference USA Co-Setter of the Week for a third time this season the conference office announced on Monday. Skopal tied a season high with 51 assists against Marshall on Sunday. Skopal shares the honor this week with Nadia Dieudonne of Western Kentucky.
Skopal had 41 against Charlotte on Friday for 92 assists in two matches. She averaged 13.14 assists per set through seven sets, and is still the conference leader in assists per set with 11.42. She also picked up a double-double against Marshall with 14 digs. Skopal had 21 digs across the weekend in two wins. Skopal is the first North Texas setter to earn the award three times since 2017.
Skopal and North Texas are back home for two games this weekend. The Mean Green face Middle Tennessee on Friday at 7 p.m. and LA Tech on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both games at the Mean Green Volleyball Center.
