T&F Heads To Baylor

WACO - North Texas track and field will take part in the Baylor Invitational March 23 at the Clyde Hart Track and Field Stadium.

Field events begin at 10 a.m. followed by running events at 3 p.m. Participating teams include UNT, Baylor, Abilene Christian and Incarnate Word.

"Baylor Invitational is another good meet for us this weekend. It will be a small field of teams but with comparable competition," director of track and field Carl Sheffield said. "We're opening up the remainder of the team that competed at the indoor conference meet last month. This weekend will give us a chance to see how this last month of training has prepared us for the remainder of the season.

"If the weather cooperates, we should have some pretty good performances. Our goal this month was to improve our confidence through daily preparation and attention to the small things. We have a young team that grows with each completion. I feel like we're close to having consistent performances and results," Sheffield added.
