WICHITA, Kan. – North Texas track and field travels to the K.T. Woodman Classic April 12-13 on the campus of Wichita State at Cessna Stadium.
Nearly 30 college teams will take part in the Classic, and around 100 high schools will be competing in the Shocker Pre-State Challenge throughout the four-day event. Action began Wednesday with the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon. The high school portion will start Thursday, and the college field and running events will take place Friday and Saturday.
"We are looking to improve the competitiveness of our younger athletes," director of track and field Carl Sheffield said. "This will give them a chance to focus on their individual events."
