#NFLMeanGreen - Week Five Recap

DENTON – With week five of the National Football League's 2020 season complete, MeanGreenSports.com presents fans with the fourth installment of the 2020 rendition of #NFLMeanGreen. All three former North Texas players currently on active rosters saw action again during week five, Jeffery Wilson, Jalen Guyton and Craig Robertson.

Despite an early deficit, Robertson's New Orleans Saints (3-2) came out victorious over Guyton and the Los Angeles Chargers (1-4) 30-27 in overtime on Monday Night Football. Robertson made his fifth appearance of the season on special teams for the Saints while Guyton made his fourth consecutive start and showed Charger fans his ability to be a deep threat hauling in one pass for 49 yards. Both the Saints and Chargers will have a BYE in week six.

Wilson and the San Francisco 49ers (2-3) suffered their second straight loss, falling to the Miami Dolphins (2-3) by a score of 43-17. Wilson had four carries for 27 yards in the loss bringing his season totals to 21 carries for 51 yards and a touchdown. The 49ers will host the Los Angeles Rams (4-1) on Sunday Night Football which kickoff set for 7:20 p.m. on NBC.
