#NFLMeanGreen - Week Nine Recap

DENTON – With week nine of the National Football League's 2020 season complete, MeanGreenSports.com presents fans with the latest installment of the 2020 rendition of #NFLMeanGreen. Former Mean Green players Jalen Guyton and Craig Robertson both saw action this week, while fellow former player Nate Brooks made news pertaining to his NFL career.

Brooks was signed to the Baltimore Ravens practice squad on Tuesday, November 10. The former North Texas defensive back began his NFL career on the New England Patriots practice squad during the 2019 season before joining the Miami Dolphins active roster in December of 2019. With the Dolphins Brooks tallied 11 tackles through three games at the tail end of the 2019 season, he began this season with the Dolphins before reaching an injury settlement.

Guyton made the fifth start of his career in the Los Angeles Chargers (2-6) 31-26 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders (5-3). The former North Texas standout hauled in one pass for nine yards bringing his season and career totals to 10 catches for 270 yards and three touchdowns. The Chargers will travel across the country to take on the Miami Dolphins (5-3) on Sunday with kickoff set for 3:05 p.m. on CBS.

Robertson appeared on special teams in the New Orleans Saints (6-2) 38-3 beat down of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-3). The Saints held the Bucs to their lowest point output of the 2020 season and have now won five straight. New Orleans will play host to the San Francisco 49ers (4-5) on Sunday with kickoff set for 3:25 p.m. on FOX.
