Hamlet Named C-USA Co-Player of the Week

DENTON — North Texas guard Javion Hamlet was named this week's Conference USA Co-Player of the Week after leading the Mean Green to two victories this week and their first regular season league title in 31 years.
Hamlet averaged 19.5 points per game, 8.5 assists per game with a 2.8 assist/turnover ratio and 5.0 rebounds per game.
On Sunday, North Texas needed to beat WKU to capture this year's title. Hamlet led all scorers with 25 points and nine assists. At the end of every half and the overtime period, UNT made a
comeback. They scored 30 points in the final five minutes of each half and the overtime period combined, Hamlet was responsible by either scoring or assisting on 22 of the 30 points.
This is Hamlet's second C-USA Player of the Week nod.
