Women's Golf Honored Nationally For GPA

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - The North Texas women's golf team was honored on Monday by the Women's Golf Coaches Association when it received the 2019-20Â WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA award.
The top 25 teams in each division (Division I, Division II, Division III) and the top 10 NAIA teams are recognized for their team GPAs.
North Texas finished 13th in the nation among Division I programs with a 3.849 team GPA.
"It is very exciting to see our team in the top 20 in the nation for GPA," head coach Michael Akers said. "Our student-athletes work hard and sacrifice so they can excel on the course and off. I am extremely proud of what has occurred over the past four years."
The University of New Mexico (3.965) had the top GPA in Division I.
