
Mean Green Football Student Ticket Protocols

DENTON - Student ticketing and seating protocols have been announced for the 2020 Mean Green football season. All UNT students will have the opportunity to claim free tickets through UNTtix.com. However limited seating, available on a first-come-first-serve basis, is being implemented in order to ensure social distancing measures can be met. Student seating will be done in groups of no more than four people. Students will claim their ticket individually and be given the option to link their seats with up to three other students when registering for tickets. All students will be required to adhere to Apogee Stadium guidelines. Face masks are required to be worn at all times unless eating or drinking. Click here for the most up-to-date information regarding general gameday information.

Q: When will tickets be available to claim at UNTTix.com?
A: Tickets are typically available to claim the Monday before a home game on a first-come-first-serve basis. Once you have registered your account and opted into text reminders*, you will receive a message when tickets are available to claim.*Once prompted, you must opt-in to receive text notifications from 98696 to receive texts.
Q: How do I sit with my friends?
A: Once you claim your student ticket, you must link your ticket to up to 3 friends, maximum total group size of 4, via the Sit with Friends feature. Linking requests must be submitted within the time noted in the Ticket Details view to ensure you will be seated with your friends. Sit with Friends requests are not able to be processed after the window closes and seats are assigned.Q: Can I purchase guest tickets for friends/family who are not UNT students?
A: Guest tickets will become available to purchase for $10 based on availability. Be sure to keep an eye on your my.unt.edu email and official North Texas social media channels for information regarding the availability of guest tickets.Q: Can I sit anywhere in the student section?
A: While student seating has traditionally been general admission, in order to ensure the safest environment possible for our student fans, student seating will be reserved for the 2020 season. When you receive your ticket, you will be randomly assigned a seat (with up to three other people if you linked your tickets) that will allow you to maintain proper social distancing from other groups.Q: Can I move seats?
A: No. In order to provide a safe environment for students and fans during the 2020 season, movement within the section is prohibited.Q: Will masks be required during the game, even though we are outdoors?
A: Yes. Unless eating or drinking, masks will be required for everyone in attendance.Q: Where should students enter Apogee Stadium?
A: Students are asked to enter Apogee Stadium from Gate 4. In order to ensure efficient entry, please have your ticket ready to scan in your Apple or Android Wallet on your mobile device.Q: Will student tickets be limited this season?
A: Yes. In order to maintain a safe environment within Apogee Stadium, roughly 3,000 student tickets will be available for each game. Please claim your ticket as early as possible to secure your seat for gameday.Q: Will I be able to tailgate?
A: The Governor's executive order at this time does not permit any sanctioned tailgating activities larger than 10 people. As a result, UNT will be limiting tent offerings and sponsored activities on The Hill and in parking lots until restrictions are lifted. Any groups fewer than 10 must remain at least 6 feet apart from others and face masks are required. All University of North Texas sponsored tailgating events have been canceled for the game on September 5. Lots will open three hours prior to kickoff.- All personal tailgating should be limited to no more than 10 people, in accordance with the state order for outdoor gatherings.
- No tents larger than 10' by 10' will be permitted. Please ensure a minimum of 10 feet between all tents and tailgate groups.
- Lots will be cleared one hour after the conclusion of the game.
