Mean Green Open Fall Camp With First Practice

DENTON - The Mean Green opened fall camp, presented by Rhino Steel Building, on Friday morning with a practice at the Lovelace and McNatt Families Practice Facility. This marked the first full practice for the Mean Green since November of 2019. UNT had eight walk-thru sessions over the past two weeks as part of the NCAA's second stage of summer access after losing its spring ball period due to the CoVID-19 pandemic.
North Texas was sharper on day one than they have been in recent years, thanks largely in part to those walk-thrus, and that allowed for a very high intensity day on Friday.
"It was a lot of fun today," head coach Seth Littrell said following Friday's practice. "There's been a lot of energy over the past few weeks through some of the walk-thru stuff. I think guys are being very attentive and [are] trying to lock in. Again, I thought today was a great start, the kids were flying around and having fun. I'm just excited to get back out on the field with everybody and compete - you know we haven't been able to do that for a long time."
