#NFLMeanGreen - Week One Recap

DENTON – Week one of the National Football League's 2020 season is complete, and MeanGreenSports.com presents fans with the second installment of the 2020 rendition of  #NFLMeanGreen. The start of the 2020 season saw three former North Texas players making their season debuts, Jalen Guyton, Craig Robertson and Jeffery Wilson.

Guyton made the first start of his career for the Los Angeles Chargers in their week one win over the Cincinnati Bengals, Guyton introduced himself to Charger fans with his first career reception for a 16-yard gain in the 16-13 win. The Chargers will play their first game in the brand new SoFi stadium when they host Patrick Mahomes and the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at 3:25 p.m. on CBS.

Robertson, North Texas' current longest-tenured NFL player saw action in the New Orleasn Saints week one win. The Saints took down Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 34-23 in the Mercedes Benz Superdome. New Orleans will match up with the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football this coming week at 7:15 pm on ESPN.

Wilson's San Francisco 49ers opened the 2020 campaign while suffering a 24-20 loss at home at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals with Wilson contributing for the 49ers in various roles on special teams. San Francisco will hit the road to take on the New York Jets on Sunday at noon on Fox.
