#NFLMeanGreen - Week Two Recap

DENTON – With week two of the National Football League's 2020 season complete, MeanGreenSports.com presents fans with the third installment of the 2020 rendition of #NFLMeanGreen. All three former North Texas players currently on active rosters saw action during week two, Jalen Guyton, Jeffery Wilson and Craig Robertson.

Guyton added another career milestone in the Los Angeles Chargers week two overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, his first career touchdown reception. Late in the second quarter, rookie quarterback Justin Herbert hit Guyton on a 14-yard back shoulder fade to put the Chargers up 14-6 at the time. The touchdown was Guyton's only reception of the game as he now has two receptions for 30 yards on the young season. The Chargers (1-1) will play host to the Carolina Panthers (0-2) on Sunday at 3:05 p.m. on CBS.

Wilson's San Francisco 49ers picked up their first win of the season with a 31-13 victory over the New York Jets in the Meadowlands. Wilson rushed twice for three yards bringing his career numbers to 95 carries for 374 yards and four touchdowns since the 2018 season. The 49ers (1-1) will be on the road in the Meadowlands again this Sunday, but this time matching up with the New York Giants (0-2). The game will kick off at noon and be broadcasted on FOX.

Robertson and the New Orleans Saints dropped their first game of the season to the Las Vegas Raiders 34-24 on Monday Night Football. Robertson appeared on special teams as the Raiders outscored the Saints 17-7 in the second half of a game that was tied at halftime. New Orleans (1-1) will square off with the Green Bay Packers (2-0) in week two with the Packers being one of 11 remaining unbeaten teams to start the season. The teams will meet on Sunday Night Football on NBC, kickoff is set for 7:20 p.m.
