DENTON — North Texas volleyball will look to keep their winning streak alive this week when they host a pair of Conference USA games against UTSA on Thursday at 6 p.m. and Friday at 2 p.m.
About the Mean Green: North Texas (13-8, 6-2) has been on a roll as of late, winning their last six conference games in a row and six of their last seven overall, with the lone defeat coming against a #12 ranked Baylor team.
Senior Rhett Robinson has led the offensive charge for the Mean Green throughout the hot stretch. The Krum, Texas native is up to 353 kills on the season, and was named both Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week and AVCA National Player of the Week for her performances over the last weekend on the road against UAB.
Other Mean Green Leaders: Kaliegh Skopal continues to lead North Texas from a setting perspective, as she crossed over 500 assists for the season in last Saturday's win over UAB.
Sarah Haeussler remains one of the most efficient players on the Mean Green roster, posting a wild .357 attack percentage. She's also showed up strong defensively for North Texas, as she leads the team with 89 blocks.
Scouting the Roadrunners: UTSA struggled somewhat through non-conference play, posting a 3-9 record. Since C-USA play began however, they've faired better with a 3-3 record against league opponents. The Roadrunners are coming off a bye week, and most recently split a series with UAB back on October 8 and 9.
Series History: North Texas and UTSA have played each other 33 times prior to this week's matches. The Roadrunners lead the all-time series 20-13, with the last matchup coming on February 14, 2021. UTSA won that match 3-1.
