Palileo Resigns as UNT Volleyball Coach

DENTON, Texas – Andrew Palileo has resigned as North Texas volleyball head coach, UNT Vice President and Director of Athletics Wren Baker announced Monday.

"We are grateful for Coach Palileo's contributions to our volleyball program and wish him and his family all the best moving forward," Baker said. "We are confident there will be significant interest in this position, and we will find the right coach that will develop our student-athletes and have our program competing for championships."

Palileo compiled a record of 162-112 in nine seasons as head coach at UNT. In 23 years as a head coach, he has an overall record of 438-307.

"I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to serve as head volleyball coach at UNT for the past nine years," Palileo said. "My family and I will depart with great memories of our time in Denton. I want to thank our student-athletes, staff and administration for their hard work and commitment to the program."

A national search for Palileo's replacement will begin immediately.
