2/21/2021 4:57:00 PM | Women's Volleyball
DENTON - Kaliegh Skopal was leading Conference USA in assists during the 2019 season as Mean Green volleyball headed to Florida for a vital road trip against FIU and FAU. There was one focus as the bus departed Denton. Find a way to win and get back into the C-USA regular season title race.
However, just hours later, Skopal and Mean Green volleyball would be reminded that life isn't always about wins and losses. After learning that she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome in Nov. 2019, Skopal was told that she might never play volleyball again. Seven months later in June 2020, Skopal was released from physical therapy and cleared to play volleyball for the Mean Green again. Learn all about Skopal's journey back to the court in this week's Beyond The Green feature.Â
Season 7 of Beyond the Green is presented by Marty B's.
