Women's Golf Set For Final Tuneup With TCU Match

DENTON - The UNT women's golf team will take on TCU in a dual match Monday afternoon at Hawks Creek Golf Club in Fort Worth in what will amount to the Mean Green's last tuneup before the Conference USA tournament the following week.
UNT and TCU will draw for matches prior to the event, which is set to begin at 1:30 p.m., and all seven of the Mean Green's golfers will be competing.
"I am grateful to Coach Angie at TCU for agreeing to play us," UNT head coach Michael Akers said. "This is our final tuneup before the C-USA championship. We are trying to evaluate to determine our lineup for conference, so this is another chance to see how the ladies are playing. We have seen a noticeable improvement with Marija (Jucmane) and Shreya (Pal) throughout the spring. This match will not count in the national rankings but will serve a valuable purpose."
After the match Monday, the 33rd-ranked Mean Green will have one week before the conference tournament begins on April 19, in Fort Myers, Florida.
