Ibarra named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week

DENTON — Defensive specialist Henrianna Ibarra was named Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week Monday for her performance from Sept. 10-11.
This is Ibarra's second career Defensive Player of the Week accolade, as the senior from San Antonio, Texas won Defensive Player of the Week for the week of March 23 in the 2020-2021 season.
In a week that saw the Mean Green go 2-1, Ibarra recorded 45 digs over three matches, averaging 15 digs per match and 4.09 digs per set. The high mark for her came against Montana State, in which she amassed 20 digs.
North Texas will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 17 in the first game of the Redbird Classic at 10 a.m.
