Robinson named C-USA Offensive Player of the Week

DENTON — Senior outside hitter Rhett Robinson was named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week on Monday for her performances from September 17-18.
Robinson had a career weekend at the 2021 Redbird Classic, leading the Mean Green offensive attack in all three matches. She posted 76 kills across all three matches, averaging 25.3 kills per match as well as 5.85 kills per set. She also averaged 6.5 points per set across 13 sets.
The biggest highlight of Robinson's weekend came in the first match of the Redbird Classic. North Texas fell down 0-2 but rallied back to win in five sets, earning their first reverse sweep since October 2017. Robinson accumulated a career-high 32 kills in the comeback victory.
The Mean Green will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. when they open up conference play against Rice at the North Texas Volleyball Center.
