Holly Named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week

DALLAS – North Texas junior Sh'Diamond Holly was honored as the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Holly led the Mean Green to a conference sweep over LA Tech on Sunday with a season-high eight total blocks with three solo stops to average 2.67 blocks per set. She added six kills on 11 attacks and one dig.
On the season, Holly leads C-USA in blocks per set at 1.30 with 95 total blocks and a .407 hitting percentage on 285 attacks. She is the first member of UNT volleyball to win Defensive Player of the Week since Henrianna Ibarra in September 2021.
North Texas will host No. 25 WKU on Friday at the North Texas Volleyball Center at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
