Senior from McKinney lands on Preseason All-C-USA team for second straight season
DALLAS (Oct. 20, 2022) – Coming off an impressive season where she earned Second Team All-Conference-USA honors and led the North Texas women's basketball team to the Women's National Invitational Tournament (WNIT) for the first time in 20 years, Quincy Noble has landed on the C-USA Preseason All-Conference Team, the league announced Thursday.
Noble, who led the Mean Green averaging 14.4 points per game a season ago, lands on the team for the second consecutive season after being named the C-USA Preseason Player of the Year prior to the 2021-22 campaign.
"Quincy has been our leading scorer the past two seasons," head coach Jalie Mitchell said. "As our team has grown, so has she. Quincy earned this honor with her work ethic and passionate love for the game. I look forward to her showing this season all the ways she has developed her game as she helps lead us to our best league finish yet."
A senior out of McKinney, Texas, Noble heads into the season inside the top-10 in program history in career 3-pointers made and attempted. She also ranks 20th on the all-time scoring list with 789 points in just two seasons in a Mean Green uniform.
Last season, Noble led UNT to a 17-win season and an appearance in the C-USA Tournament Semifinal. The Mean Green also were invited to play in the WNIT for the first time since the 2002 season.
UNT returns a pair of starters, Noble included, as they look to compete for the C-USA crown once again in 2022-23.
