Senior from McKinney honored after averaging over 20.0 points per game on the week
DALLAS (Nov. 21, 2022) – After matching her career-high in Saturday's contest against Wichita and averaging 21.0 points per game on the week, senior guard Quincy Noble earned Conference USA Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career.
"I'm proud of Quincy for continuing to find her way and displaying more leadership on a team with just one returning starter on the floor this season," head coach Jalie Mitchell said. "Her example is vital as our team embodies #WhateverItTakes."
Noble started the week scoring 12 points while also adding two rebounds, a block and an assist against SFA.
The senior out of McKinney, Texas, followed it up with one of the best performances of her career Saturday when she went off for 30 points on the road at Wichita State.
Noble scored 25 points in her first half against the Shockers and also matched her career-best with six made 3-pointers. The two-time all-conference performer also added four steals in the contest.
She becomes the first UNT women's basketball player to earn the recognition since N'Yah Boyd won the award on Dec. 28, 2020.
This season, Noble is averaging 16.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. She is less than 200 points shy of becoming the 15th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.
