UNT Players Named Academic All-District

DENTON – Seven UNT football student-athletes were named on Tuesday to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.
Ayo Adeyi, Asher Alberding, Cole Brown, Jett Duncan, Sean-Thomas Faulkner, Carson Kropp and Jake Roberts were all selected to the team.
Adeyi, a sophomore running back, is the team's leading rusher this season with 690 yards on the ground – good for fourth in Conference USA – and averages a conference-best 8.02 yards per carry. He's notched a pair of 100-yard rushing efforts with a season-high of 135 yards and has four rushing scores. He posted a 3.537 GPA in Recreation, Event & Sport Management.
Alberding posted a 3.654 GPA and has made one start this year but played in every game. He's been a key blocker for one of the nation's top offenses, along with left tackle Brown and right tackle Duncan.
Roberts has started all but one game at tight end this year and is fourth on the team with 22 receptions, fifth on the team with 331 yards and fourth with two touchdown receptions. He's also one of two on the list, along with defensive back Sean-Thomas Faulkner, to post a 4.0 GPA.
Faulkner has started every game this year and has a 4.0 in his MBA program while ranking fourth on the team with 66 tackles with six or more tackles in six games this year. Kropp has played in 11 games this season and has registered five tackles, primarily on special teams.
