DENTON, Texas – North Texas women's basketball (13-10, 7-6) won its fifth consecutive C-USA game against Florida Atlantic (5-19, 1-12) on Thursday night, 76-45. Preseason C-USA Player of the Year Quincy Noble fueled the offense with 24 points shooting 9-of-13 from the floor.
The Mean Green extended its league-best win streak to five. It also tied a program-best for five straight wins in C-USA play. It was also UNT's fourth straight win against Florida Atlantic in Denton.
Balanced scoring and defense have been the recipe for the Mean Green in February. They held their fifth straight C-USA opponent to under 60 points. North Texas held FAU to its second-lowest point total of the season. It was also the largest margin of victory for UNT against the Owls in series history.
UNT will finish its homestand when they host UAB on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. (CT) in the Super Pit. That game will also air on ESPN+.

"I'm proud of our team. We executed on both ends of the floor tonight and held a good team to 45 points. Defense is what everyone has been talking about so we're embracing it as a team. You can tell we're hungry for stops and we follow through with it. Both sides of the floor feed off each other so we're efficient on offense too. The only hiccup we talked about was our free throw shooting and that's something we will correct moving forward."
