The Mean Green will play the Tulsa Hurricanes (16-10) inside the Super Pit on Thursday at 7 p.m. (CT) in the Round of 64. The game will air on ESPN+ and Zac Babb will have the call KNTU 88.1 FM.

North Texas won the last meeting between the two programs in Denton on Dec. 2, 2017, 66-43. The Hurricanes feature five scorers that average better than 10 points per game. Tulsa also boasts the American Athletic Conference Player of the Year in Temira Poindexter.
The 2021-22 women's basketball team reached new heights under Jalie Mitchell's direction. For only the second time in school history, the Mean Green have notched back-to-back double digit conference wins in the regular season. The 16 regular season wins this year is the most since 2018-19.
This is the second postseason for North Texas with Mitchell at the helm.
