Women's Hoops Welcomes UTSA on Thursday
3/2/2022 1:44:00 PM | Women's Basketball
DENTON, Texas – North Texas women's basketball (14-11, 8-7) is set to host the UTSA Roadrunners (6-20, 3-12), on Thursday night inside the Super Pit. The game will broadcast on ESPN+ and Zac Babb will cover the air waves on KNTU 88.1 FM.
The Mean Green will look to bounce back following a road loss at LA Tech. Prior to the loss, North Texas was riding a league-best six game winning streak. With the western division title hopes still intact, the Mean Green will need a win against UTSA.
UNT will finish up the regular season with its Senior Day against UTEP on Saturday at 2 p.m. (CT) inside the Super Pit.
QUOTING HEAD COACH JALIE MITCHELL
"It's great to be in the position we're in at this point in the season. We must take care of our business in order to seal the deal. We will continue to focus on one game at a time and that starts with UTSA on Thursday. Looking back to the last time we got together, it was a very physical game, and we expect more of the same. We need to focus on playing our best basketball because that's what got us in this position."
