DENTON, Texas – North Texas women's basketball (16-11, 10-7) dropped the UTEP Miners (14-14, 6-12), on Saturday afternoon inside the Super Pit, 56-47. Aly Gamez led the Mean Green with 20 points and seven rebounds.
It is the first time the program has won back-to-back double-digit conference games in consecutive seasons since 2000-01 and 2001-02. It also marks only the second time it has happened in program history.
Preseason C-USA Player of the Year, Quincy Noble registered 14 points, shooting 50-percent from 3-point range. It was the 21st time this season she has registered double figures.
UNT will turn its attention to the Conference USA Tournament at The Star in Frisco. The opening round of the tourney begins on March 8th.
