
North Texas WBB Ready for Rematch in Quarterfinals

DENTON, Texas – No. 2W North Texas is set to be back in action in the Quarterfinals of the Conference USA Tournament at The Star against the No. 3E Old Dominion Monarchs. Tip-off is set for Thursday at 11:30 a.m. on Court B. The game will air on ESPN+ and Zac Babb will have the call on KNTU 88.1 FM.
 
North Texas comes into the tournament as hot as any team in the field. The Mean Green have won eight of its last nine. Since UNT flipped the script in early February, they have an average win margin of +13.5 per game. Defense has fueled the late season push with the Mean Green giving up an average of 51.3 PPG in C-USA victories.
 
With a win, North Texas will advance to the Semifinals of the tournament for only the second time since joining C-USA. The next round will take place on Friday at 4:30 p.m. on Court A. The game will broadcast on Stadium.

- This will be the 15th all-time meeting between North Texas and Old Dominion.
- The Monarchs lead the all-time series, 10-4.
- ODU won the last meeting in Norfolk, 67-57 earlier this season.
- This will be the second time and in consecutive seasons North Texas and Old Dominion have played each other in the conference tournament. ODU won by six last year in Frisco.
