
Tennis to Host Houston for Senior Day

DENTON – UNT Tennis will play their last home match of the season on Sunday beginning at noon. They will face Houston at Waranch Tennis Complex.
The Mean Green are coming off a split weekend in New Orleans. They dropped a decision to Tulane on Saturday but bounced back with a win over UNO on Sunday. Senior duo Lucie Devier and Maria Ponomareva currently hold an ITA ranking of 78 after defeating a ranked pair.
Houston is currently 11-8 on the season having fallen to USF and FIU in Florida last weekend. The Cougars are led by senior Sophie Gerits who is 9-12 in singles play and on a six-match winning streak. Houston will face Wichita State in Kansas on Friday before making their way south to Denton.
This Sunday is also senior day, the Mean Green will be honoring their two seniors with a special presentation prior to the match. Admission is free.
