Six Mean Green student-athletes recorded top-10 finishes
DENTON, Texas – North Texas Track & Field had six top-10 finishes Friday and Saturday at the Michael Johnson Invitational at Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium in Waco, Texas.

Matthew Morgan had the top UNT finish, getting fifth place in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:13.57.

In the men's 800 meters, Luke Canon finished in sixth place with a time of 1:54.27.

Sydney Salinas came away with a sixth-place finish in the women's pole vault "B" section, recording a mark of 11-08.50 (3.57m).

The Mean Green went 6-7 in the men's 5,000 meters as Caleb Bouchard came in sixth with a time of 15:28.95, followed by Mason Garner in seventh with a time of 15:30.90.

In the women's 5,000 meters, Miranda Vreeland placed ninth with a time of 18:58.22.

Wardell Glaspie placed 11th in the men's discus with a throw of 167-11 (51.18m), and Sydney Rogers took 13th in the women's javelin with a mark of 116-06 (35.50m).

Next up for the Mean Green is the Corky/Crofoot Shootout April 29-30 in Lubbock, Texas, the final meet before the Conference USA Outdoor Championships May 12-15 in San Antonio, Texas.
