UNT Hosts 6th Annual Scrappys Awards

DENTON – North Texas Athletics hosted its sixth annual Scrappys Awards Monday night to honor its student-athletes' achievements in athletics, academics and community service during the 2021-22 school year.

The event, emceed by longtime UNT broadcaster Hank Dickinson, made its return to in person and was held at the Embassy Suites in Denton.

Highlights of the evening included recognition of the UNT men's basketball team winning its third consecutive Conference USA title and women's golf winning the second-straight CUSA championship.
Â
Women's golf and volleyball were honored for their top GPAs during Spring 2021 and Fall 2021.
Â
Additionally, each team along with cheer, dance and mascot had a Team MVP and Mean Green Spirit Honoree announced.
