CLEVELAND - The College Athletic Business Management Association (CABMA) announced its 2022 award winners during its convention recently, and the UNT business office was awarded with the inaugural Innovation Team Award.
The business operations department, headed by Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director and Chief Financial Officer Matt Witty, also includes Assistant Athletic Directors, Business Operations Pilar Bradfield and Ryan Enselein, along with Director, Business Operations Savannah Greenlee.
"We'd like to thank the CABMA Awards Committee for recognizing the hard work our business office team put into the numerous process enhancements we've recently put into place," Witty said. "It is a tremendous honor to receive the first Innovation Team Award. We look forward to building on that foundation and continuing to service the tremendous student-athletes and staff here at UNT."
The award was conceived to be given to the CABMA-member institution that promotes innovative business practices for its student-athletes, coaches, athletics and/or university administration. Practices to be considered include, but are not limited to, process improvements, cost-saving efficiencies and revenue-producing ideas.
"On behalf of CABMA, the awards committee and the executive committee, I want to congratulate our 2022 award winners for their contributions to our association and the profession," said Stacy Martin, CABMA Awards Committee Chair and senior associate commissioner and CFO at The American. "It is our honor to present these well-earned awards to a merited group of CABMA members. Our goal is to recognize outstanding leadership, service and tradition within our industry, and these recipients exemplify what their respective awards are about. CABMA is proud to annually celebrate its recognition of members and affiliates who continually advance the mission of the association and enhance the experience of those involved in the field of intercollegiate athletics."
