Mose Makes Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Watch List

HONOLULU - North Texas senior offensive lineman Manase Mose has been named to the watch list for the 2022 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award, as announced by the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Thursday.Â
Mose, a native of Euless, Texas, has started every game of his career (48) for the Mean Green. He has played both center and guard over the course of his four-year career.Â
The award is presented annually to the most outstanding college football player of Polynesian ancestry that epitomizes great ability and integrity. The watch list is composed of 85 players from 43 different FBS schools.Â
The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame honors Polynesia's greatest players, coaches, and contributors. Its permanent home is located at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Honolulu and was established in 2013 by Super Bowl Champions Jesse Sapolu and Ma'a Tanuvasa. The selection committee includes former NFL Player and Inaugural Inductee Jack "The Throwin' Samoan" Thompson (Chairman), coaches Ron McBride and Dick Vermeil, former NFL Player and inaugural inductee Olin Kreutz, inaugural inductee and past NFLPA president Kevin Mawae, former NFL player and Class of 2015 inductee Ray Schoenke, ESPN's Neil Everett and NFL Network commentator Steve Wyche.Â
Mose, who has started every game for the Mean Green over the past four seasons, has become a stalwart up front and helped spearhead what was the nation's fifth-ranked rushing attack (233.5 ypg) in 2021. He is also on the preseason watch list for the Outland Trophy - given to college football's top interior lineman. Mose was also named to the C-USA Preseason Watch List and First-Team All-CUSA by Athlon, Phil Steele and Lindy's. He was also a second-team selection on the Dave Campbell's Texas Football All-Texas College team.Â
