WBB Announces Full 2022-23 Schedule

DENTON - UNT women's basketball will play six of its first seven games at home and travel to Big 12 foe Oklahoma State before starting its final run through Conference USA play, the program announced on Thursday as the full schedule for the 2022-23 season was unveiled.
The Mean Green, who finished last season 17-13 with a 10-7 mark in conference play and a berth in the WNIT, return leading scorer and All-CUSA performer Quincy Noble (McKinney, Texas) along with another starter in Jaylen Mallard (Little Rock, Ark.) and key reserve Tommisha Lampkin (Mansfield, Texas). Eighth-year head coach Jalie Mitchell also welcomes eight newcomers including four transfers.
North Texas hosts an exhibition on Nov. 3 against TAMIU before opening the regular season against Texas A&M-Texarkana on Nov. 10. On Nov. 25 and Nov. 27, UNT will host Louisiana and Montana State, as part of a Thanksgiving tournament at the Super Pit.
The schedule features road games at Wichita State on Nov. 19, UTA on Nov. 29, Oklahoma State on Dec. 3 and a trip to the nation's capital to play Howard on Dec. 18 and Georgetown on Dec. 21, before conference play opens on Dec. 29 at Florida Atlantic with 19 more conference matchups to follow before the postseason begins.
The Mean Green will close the regular season with two straight on the road at Middle Tennessee and Western Kentucky after four straight home games from Feb. 16-23.
