Soccer Prepares For Road Trip

DENTON — The 16-time conference champion North Texas soccer team hits the road this week for a pair of road league games, its firsts of the season.
UNT (5-4-1, 1-1-0) will head to Middle Tennessee (2-5-1, 0-1-0) Thursday for a match against the Blue Raiders and then travel the 100 miles to Bowling Green, Kentucky on Sunday to face WKU (3-4-2, 0-1-0).
Thursday's match is scheduled to kick-off at 7 p.m. CT and will be streamed on ESPN+ and Sunday's match will start at 1 p.m. CT and be broadcast on Facebook.
North Texas has won nine in a row over MTSU and leads the all-time series 17-5-2. They last played Middle Tennessee in 2019 and won 3-0 in Denton. In 2018 the Mean Green clinched the Conference USA regular season title with a overtime victory in Murfreesboro.
The Mean Green feature the nation's No. 26 scoring offense led by fifth-year senior Olivia Klein whose seven goals are tied for the 10th most in the nation and Taylor Tufts whose seven assists are tied for the fourth most in the nation.
