
Volleyball Hosts UTSA for Weekend Series

DENTON, Texas – UNT volleyball hosts UTSA for a pair of matches on Friday at 6 p.m. and on Sunday 2 p.m. from the North Texas Volleyball Center. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Mean Green (10-10, 4-3) split its conference road trip with a sweep over UAB on Friday and a four-set loss to East Carolina on Sunday. Anyse Smith led with 26 kills and 74 attacks while Kamryn Scroggins accumulated 36 assists on the weekend. Aleeyah Galdeira totaled 19 digs while Truli Levy dropped 12 total blocks over seven sets.
UTSA (8-10, 1-6) enters on a six-match losing streak after it fell to South Florida and Temple last weekend.
North Texas have won six of its previous seven home meetings against the Roadrunners, including a four-set victory on Oct. 30, 2022, though the Mean Green trail the all-time series 16-21.
Head coach Kristee Porter led UNT to a pair of victories over UTSA last season as Aryn Johnson tallied a team-high 41 total kills and a .390 hitting percentage over nine frames. Ceci Harness gathered 62 assists while Galdeira collected 43 digs. Sh'Diamond Holly recorded 13 blocks including her season high of eight in the home contest.Fans can purchase tickets HERE.
