
Levy Shines in Volleyball Sweep

DENTON, Texas – Truli Levy led UNT volleyball to a 3-0 sweep of UTSA on Friday at the North Texas Volleyball Center. Levy tallied a season-high mark of 17 points with 12 kills and seven blocks.
"We all agreed that we wanted to perform at a higher level," Levy said. "So, every time I touched the ball, I wanted to put it down to make my setter look good."
North Texas (11-10, 5-3) collected its fourth sweep (29-27, 25-19, 25-22) in American Athletic Conference play. The Mean Green recorded its second-best hitting percentage of the league season against the Roadrunners (8-11, 1-7) with a .252 mark on the night.
Levy (.647), Treyaunna Rush (.346) and Coco Gillett (.300) all finished with an attack rate over .300 for the match. Rush finished with 10 kills on 26 attacks while Gillett posted three kills on 10 attempts.
Kamryn Scroggins recorded her second double-double of the season with 24 assists and 11 digs. She tied Ceci Harness for the most assists in a three-set match this season.
Anyse Smith set a new career-high mark of three service aces in a single match and the first of her UNT career. She added eight kills and two blocks for 12 points.
